I’m Alex Wills, a 24 year old Florida Gator grad from… You guessed it, Florida. I grew up running track and became a state champion in the mile and went on to run on the national champion Florida Gator track squad. I’m also a brother of Alpha Kappa Psi a professional business fraternity. When I’m not “suiting up” I love the gym and can now lift the “big three” exercises (squat/bench/deadlift) over 900 lbs. If you can’t tell already I’m obsessed with competition and love a challenge – One that can be measured.
… And that brings me to online marketing! I love it. You learn something everyday. You make customers happy by communicating the brand’s message to them. Freelancing for the last year has allowed me to learn so much in the field from everything in social media, SEO, copywriting, blogging, ecommerce, design and more. When I’m not wearing my freelance shades, I’ve managed to do some pretty successful stints at the Australian Embassy, Total Beauty Media, Jack Nadel International and several internet start-ups. I also managed to pass my classes in college with a decent GPA and graduated (mom and pop are proud, atleast).
Current projects:. Leading a re-brand of Carley’s Skin Care as Marketing Manager. Social Media / PR / Ecommerce / Marketing for Children’s Entertainment Network, Jenny Karl Hair & Makeup Agency, Tinsels Town and Smitty’s Rancho. Learning HTML/CSS and JQuery for eCommerce shopping cart and UX web development.
I’ll be honest – I love social media but hate being associate with the BS artists out there that don’t bring any value to their clients. I aim to bring an analytical AND a fun approach to digital marketing work. It’s a matter of creating content that the target audience will want AFTER we figure out who we’re targeting and what our interaction goals really are. A mix of art and science.
My work is defined as analytic with a sprinkle of creativity. Finding out all I can about a client before any work is done. From creating Incubus promotions at a marketing agency to making soap “Fight Club-style” at a skin care company to branding the country of Australia to tourists (oy mate). I’ve done work at some of the coolest places for some of the best people in the game. To find out a little about the work I’ve done take a gander at my portfolio.
Note: I’m not Tyler Durden.

What Others are Saying:
“Alex is a “people person” in every aspect of the words. He is very honest, has a positive attitude, has long term goals he chases, helps others and is extremely self motivated. Most importantly, he had a “can do” personality which made it very easy for us to work with him.”
– Josh Ebrahemi, VP and Partner at Jack Nadel International
“Alex performed market research for my team of recruiters and was engaged daily with contacts in our database. He is a good listener, and follows direction well. He asks good question, and easily builds rapport with everyone he interacts with. I would recommend him for a position with any organization that considers these traits valuable.”
– Matt Ferriolo, President at MedCentric Search Firm
“He’s the most driven person I have ever seen. My biggest problem has always been holding him back. He just never stops working. When I first saw him, I was working out at the YMCA and I saw him. He was absolutely killing the treadmill. I knew whoever got him would get the most unbelievable runner. I never thought it would be me.”
– Rene Plasencia, Candidate for Florida House of Representatives (and former track coach)
Quotes to Live By:
“You absolutely do not want to get into a comfort zone. The comfort zone is the first instinct. Once you gravitate toward comfort, you tend to assume a status quo. To get out of your comfort zone means to stretch, to extend, to reach beyond what you’ve had success doing. And that can be difficult.” – Rob Lowe
“Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming ‘Wow! What a Ride!’” – Hunter S. Thompson
“Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.” – Leonardo da Vinci
